Canberra Injury Management Centre (CIMC) was established to provide an integrated, multidisciplinary approach to treatment and rehabilitation of people with injuries or pain – across the treatment spectrum from acute to chronic. They have a highly skilled and experienced team that includes pain management consultants, physiotherapists, clinical psychologists and exercise physiologists to ensure professional advice and treatment for most injury and pain conditions.
Service Description
Canberra Injury Management Centre (CIMC) exercise physiology programmes take a holistic and individualised approach to exercise prescription to assist clients to regain endurance, strength, control and mobility after injury or surgery, or to manage chronic health conditions.
CIMC exercise physiology can assist with treatment of the following health concerns:
- Chronic pain
- Diabetes
- Obesity
- Osteoporosis
- Arthritis
- Cancer recovery
- Cardio-respiratory conditions
- Exercise for older adults (including mobility enhancement, falls prevention and osteoarthritis)
