The Cancer Council ACT is a non-government non-profit community organisation that aims to promote a healthier community by reducing the incidence and impact of cancer in the ACT region.
Service Description
The Cancer Council ACT run free cancer education programs, forums and seminars for people with cancer, and their family and friends. These include:
- Living Well After Cancer Program, a free program for people who have finished their cancer treatment
- Living with Cancer Forum, free forum for people diagnosed with cancer, their families and friends where invited guest speakers cover a range of cancer related topics
- Legal and Financial Matters Seminar, a free seminar for people affected by cancer that covers a range of financial and legal matters cancer patients may face
